Next vampire A series on Netflix just dropped some exciting new teaser trailers this week and ComicBook.com just happened to be one of the lucky few who recently spoke with showrunner Andrew Dabb. The series will officially release on July 14, which is relatively close to when the last movie in the franchise will be released in theaters. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City It was released last fall and met with a dismal response, so you’d think the folks behind the series might be a little nervous, but it looks like they developed both projects simultaneously.
“They were both developed almost simultaneously,” Dab said, speaking to a range of media outlets. “And in some ways it was a huge liberation for us, because the first thing you’ll see from the fans is that they want a live mod. Well, the good news is that they have it. It’s a very good adaptation of the first two games. And so for us, it was like, ‘Okay, so Well, they do, let’s go and kind of make our own way.”
“So, it’s not a coincidence, it’s kind of designed like that,” Dapp added. “The idea is, you know, these two things can exist side by side, again, because everything Welcome to Raccoon City Subsequent films explore and explore things that happen in our world. It doesn’t mean we’re going to be sharing actors and things like that, it just gets more complicated. Wesker is clearly not the young Lance Riddick. But, you know, this was a choice that was made by Constantine and to sort of develop on the page.”
Netflix describes the series as follows: “The year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus causes global catastrophe, Jade Wesker fights to survive in a world overrun by infected, mad, bloodthirsty creatures. In this sheer carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in the city of The new raccoon, through her father’s creepy relationships with the Umbrella Corporation but mostly because of what happened to her sister Billy.”
Netflix vampire The series will include eight one-hour episodes and will be produced by Andrew Dabb, Mary Leah Sutton, Robert Colzer and Oliver Perben. The series stars Ella Balinska, Tara Smart, Sienna Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paula Nunez, Ahad Reza Mir, Conor Gusatti, Turlow Convery, and Lance Redick as Albert Wesker. All episodes of the series will be shown on Netflix on July 14!
